Delicate Pakistani Teardrop Cascade Mehndi Design for Finger

Photo by Mehndi Design Henna Collection (Unknown)
A sophisticated pakistani mehndi design designed for the fingers, featuring checkered fill and diamond lattice. Rated as Easy, this pattern is perfect for Karva Chauth.
Finger designs are quick to apply and dry fast, which makes them practical when time is short. Fingertips have thicker skin, so the stain there usually develops darker than on the rest of the hand. This is a beginner-friendly pattern: practise the main shapes on paper first, then copy them onto skin with a fine-tipped cone.
Pakistani mehndi traditions involve elaborate songs (mehndi geets) and dances during the ceremony. In Pakistani tradition, mehndi is applied not just to the bride but also to female family members and guests.
Application tips: Scrape the dried paste off instead of washing it, and keep the area away from water for the first 12 to 24 hours. The stain starts orange and darkens to reddish brown over 24 to 48 hours as it oxidises.
