Elaborate Mandala Teardrop Cascade Mehndi Design for Finger

Photo by Mehndi Design Henna Collection (Unknown)
An intricate mandala mehndi design designed for the fingers, featuring teardrop cascade and sunburst. Rated as Easy, this pattern is perfect for Diwali.
Finger designs are quick to apply and dry fast, which makes them practical when time is short. Fingertips have thicker skin, so the stain there usually develops darker than on the rest of the hand. This is a beginner-friendly pattern: practise the main shapes on paper first, then copy them onto skin with a fine-tipped cone.
In Indian and Pakistani mehndi, this round design is commonly called a tikki or gol tikki. The design depends on symmetry: each ring repeats the same shape all the way around.
Application tips: Finish with a ring of dots; it hides small unevenness in the outer edge. Leave the paste on for at least four to six hours; the longer it stays, the deeper the stain.
